BUTTERMILK SYRUP


 1 cube butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt over medium heat.  When it just starts to boil, remove from heat and add 1 tsp. soda and 1 tsp. vanilla.  Stir; it will foam up.  Serve hot.  Can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
